One of the best place to stay at Trithan Valley. The views are awesome from Balcony. Food is excellent prepared by staffs Roshini and Mami. The boy Babulu is very humble who helped us to carry our luggage. Room with Bedding are classic with all amenities. Till date our family is comparing food with other places. SIDDU with deshi ghee and chutney was very very special and even local Bhajji as prepared by Mami. Kuddos to all staffs of the cottages. Well managed

Do not go for it. Here are the reasons. 1. Totally worthless, It is not a resort but more or less a homestay. 2. The person Prashant who takes the booking does not even call to ask how the stay is going forget meeting you at the property 3 It is managed by 2-3 ladies, who are rude, unprofessional and will remind of your worst teacher from school. 4. Place is actually in jungle on opposite side of the river, so it is full of chamelions (very very big and scary) more insects than you can imagine. When asked the staff says the most stupid things.. arre humare to paltu hain.. nai nai jyada jehrile nai hain.. They say they are resort . But give you milk in breakfast a mix of cow and goat.. at a premium price of 4-5k per night, after telling them we cant drink it, she just ignored us. It gets better now We got our own tetra pack, used our own coffee powder and just used their kitchen to make coffee.. they charge us for seving coffee based on their menu rates.. I mean. . they deseve a round of applause in being the worst of the worst. Infact they charge u tor everything u cook with your own supplies in their kitche.. example peanut masala.. The lady who serves food just wishes u say no to more chapatis/paranthas ir anything for that matter. It kills her to put food in the buffet and wants to put daal/sabzi as less as she could. She is the one who will get on the nerves.. nagging all the time. Ye kya h, ye kyu hai.. laptop kya h.. ise leke yahan kyu aaye ho . Nai nai.. yahin baith ka karo kaam.. 10 baj gaye hain ab khana kha k andar jao kamre mein karo jo karna h . When we said u just leave the food and sleep.. we will not disturb u to heat it again.. she will keep on staring u all the time, gets real uncomfortable. The river access is not as easy as it may seem, if you want to have fun at the river the u have to cross a very long trail half of which is uneven path of stones. So if you want to book this for being close to river, you are mistaken. All in all.. my worst stay ever in my entire life. A 500 rs homestay in remotest location is better than this place.

Devat farm cottages is the place where one would love to extend their stay. It's by the riverside where you can sit for hours and spend quality time with nature. The cottages are wooden based and will give you the ultimate feel of rural touch with urban amenities. The rooms are very spacious, neat and comfortable with attached balconies in super deluxe room to give you the beautiful view of the river and mountains.Bathrooms are neat and huge. Good thing is they use solar energy for electricity. Food is homely cooked , although few items but delicious. Outside the cottages, the open area is so relaxing with beautiful garden with plenty of flowers, plum trees, pear trees , persimmon trees etc. The staff is polite and very helpful. A must visit place to experience tranquility and if you want a break from Delhi NCR's life. Would love to visit again. Thanks.

What a place... I was lucky enough to be the 1st guest at this pristine property... If you are looking for an offbeat destination, this is a place to go. Good service, friendly staff. What a location for this beautiful property... You need to try their fresh trout delicacies. They make customized food for the guests which is ever better if you ave kid with you. Rooms & washrooms are clean and hygienic. The owners have done a really good job with the place. Even after multiple visits, I still want to go back there. Trust me, one needs to visit and enjoy this place, you will have a great time.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

*Only for the readers who appreciate an honest feedback* "Here is a little story about my stay at #devatfarmcottages Looks amazing right? But they say all that glitters is not gold! That's precisely what i can say about my stay at this place. I came across the @sunshinehimalayancottage on @airbnb and through it we got @pankitirthan number. The sunshine cottage was pretty pricey so Mr panki gave us an option to stay at the devat farms in the tirthan valley We were first quoted a price of 4200. After bargaining he came down to 3500 with breakfast. After a lot of phone calls and texts we were able to finalise the room we wanted ( so far so good ) Being an avid traveler, i feel, a trip to the mountains is most definitely always an escape from the rut of the city life and i always look forward to the most well known himachali hospitality The staff at Devat farms ( on sarchi road ) gives you everything but THAT hospitality. The caretakers are a couple - vijay (aka vijju) and his wife. They are the most rude and inconsiderate people I've ever come across in himachal. We were paying a hefty amount of 17k for 5 nights and the kind of behaviour we received was worse than what I'd get in a place where I'd pay 500 rs/ night (that's just half of it) Mr panki had mixed up our dates with these caretakers and they asked us to leave the property one day before the checkout. Vijju went a step ahead, asked us to live in jibhi. The caretakers left the property while we were out and they did not even bother informing us or saying goodbye before leaving. We were all alone in the homestay I can only imagine if we needed any help in the middle of the night who would we turn to! This entire experience of our stay was so horrible all thanks to Mr panki who can be tagged the biggest scamster of tirthan valley. He had the audacity to tell us "we are being smart" while all along it was him who was out and out to get every ounce of our money! The man didn't even once bother to come to the homestay and greet us To top it all up, we were asked to pay parking fee of 100 rs per day. Mr panki palyed a smart one, he never informed us of any such fee. i was quite shocked by the commercial attitude of the people here. They were charging 500 rs for a bonfire!!! the caretakers themselves would light up a fire every night and sit next to it but never bothered to invite us that's probably because we were the golden goose from whom they could earn an extra buck! please do not be fooled by the hot water and nice rooms all they want is your money and all you get in return is an unwelcoming behaviour coupled with heaps of uncalled for attitude! This is what happens when people from delhi come and set up shop in places they don't belong, Mr prashant being the owner! THE MOST DISAPPOINTING STAY IN HIMACHAL
